These beef palaces used to be the domain of Buckhead and Atlanta. The have spread to the outside the perimeter areas (OTP) of  Alpharetta, Dunwoody and Sandy Springs and now West  Cobb.  We’ve had Aspen’s Signature Steaks with locations in the Avenues West Cobb and just this month, Ruth’s Chris Steak House opened in Kennesaw. It is in the new Embassey Suites on Chastain Road near Kennesaw State University. Read the WC review of this great new addition to West Cobb.

These are the type of places where everything is ala carte and the steaks are big and expensive, but today that’s changing. Aspen’s offers an earlybird special on weekdays and Sunday. Be seated by 6pm and order by 6:15pm and some great savings are yours. Check their website for the special earlybird menu which is a great deal and has lots of non steak items, Sides come with each entree  on this special menu.
Ruth Chris’s is now offering a special 3 course menu for less  $40 a person that includes a salad, one of their big prime steaks and a dessert. While not cheap this is a great deal at one of  the best and most consistant of the steakhouses. The Palm in the Westin Hotel in Buckhead has some $3.50 small plate specials from5-6pm and from 9pm-close. Check the websites of all of these palaces of beef for their specials and complete menus. Most do offer some seafood and chicken alternatives for non-meat eaters or those who have already eaten too much meat.
Ribeye and MushroomsBelow is a list of  the WC Top 10 Steakhouses, where red meat and rare are the rule not the exception. Good eating!!!
