September 19, 2009 – 9am – 5pm

September 2009  –  Marietta Street Fest will take place this year on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 9:00am-5:00pm (rain or shine).  Marietta is the perfect setting for this event as the Georgia Magazine Readers Choice Awards named it Best Antique Shopping. A premier event, antique dealers and artisans from all over Georgia will display and sell their wares.  Their specialties range from unique collectors’ items to fine furniture and home decorations.  A great selection of glass, porcelains, linens, bottles and collectibles will be available. There’s something for everyone from folk art pieces to shabby chic and traditional home furnishings.

“Staycations” are hot this year, and local Georgia attractions will show visitors the fun that can be had right here in our backyard. And don’t miss the Marietta Farmers Market featuring fresh, locally grown produce and garden products.

If you have ever wondered about the value of your family heirloom, stop by the “Trash or Treasure Show” to get your free verbal approximation. Meet our favorite local antique expert, Mark Maxwell of the Brass Monkey between 11am and 2pm to get the story on your treasure (limited to one item per household).
