DOWNTOWN ACWORTH – A MAIN STREET SHOPPING EXPERIENCE By Cindy Straus
After a delicious lunch on Main Street, be sure to treat yourself to a walk down Main Street in Historic Acworth and explore the many quaint and unique shops that line this historic street.
If you have not shopped in downtown Acworth before, you are certainly in for a treat. The stores are definitely a step out of the “Big Box” stores at the mall or The Avenues … and a far cry from Wally World. There is a little something for everyone. If you’re looking for a unique gift for family or a friend, or that prized antique piece for you home you can fi nd it here. Some shops are closed on Monday and hours may vary so be sure to check times. Here some of my favorites
Bella Dia European Spa – Pamper yourself or a loved one with a relaxing day at the spa or select a service from their extensive menu. In business for 10 years, Bella Dia off ers facials, massage, body wraps, manicures, pedicures and much more. It’s the perfect party destination for a bridal shower or Women’s group. For your convenience the spa stocks a great selection of skin care products and gifts.
Boutier & Design is the place to go in Acworth to have your own private wine tasting. They will label the bottles especialy for you, so whatever the special occasion, there is a bottle of wine perfect for it. No matter what your tastes, Boutier Wine & Design can provide exactly what you need.
Divas & Dames Boutique This fabulous boutique lives up to it’s name by off ering a little bit funky….a little bit trendy…but oh so chic merchandise! You can be a Diva or a Dame regardless of age! Shoppes at Park & Main – Just a little down the road from downtown on Main Street is this cute old house with 3 unique shops all inside the house. Miss Scarlet’s Chocolat Emporium – handmade chocolats and desserts, voted best dessert and best chocolat in Atlanta in 2007 and 2008. The Healing Onion – custom blended aromatherapy products and gifts SuzieQ’s- classic women’s clothing styles name with natural fabrics such as linnen, hemp, organic cotton and coming soon….. The Oak Barrel – Featuring one of the finest wine collections in the area, this shop is not to be missed. If you’re not a connoisseur the friendly staff will help you select the perfect wine to accompany that perfect meal! The store also offers a great selection of gift and specialty gourmet items.
Glitz and Glamour – Fine and costume jewelry to fit everyone’s taste from exquisite handcrafted glass pieces to 14k gold and silver. It’s all here. Very popular is the PANDORA charm bracelets and matching jewelry which allows you to create your own personal style. Baby jewelry is also featured for that special little one. Repairs done.
Wind in the Willows – Next door to the Waterstone Grill sits this little shop is a treasure trove of unique gifts, garden décor, home décor, silk fl owers, accessories, iron work, jewelry and much much more. Attached to the Waterstone Grill you can browse or shop while waiting to enjoy a great meal.
Wild Blossoms – This wonderful shop started as an antique store 10 years ago and has expanded to feature all types of home décor and giftables. The store is packed full of unique items from home accessories to baby items.
