LAKE ALLATOONA CLEANUP
September 12, 2009 –
WHAT IS IT? The GLAC is a one day event focused on cleaning the entire shoreline of Allatoona Lake. The GLAC will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end by noon. There will be a picnic immediately following (from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.) at the Riverside Day Use Area with free food, entertainment, and prizes.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? Anyone looking for community pride, a little work, and a lot of fun, can participate. Sign up your scout troop, family, friends, neighborhood, church, community organizations or work place. Individuals are also welcome to join the cleanup effort.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE? Pre-registration (recommended) is available online by going to the volunteer page of this website and entering your information. Or on Saturday, September 12, 2009 you may go to any of the designated registration points. You will be given all of the necessary information you need at that time.
WHAT DO I DO NOW? Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation letter which will include detailed instructions and directions to your designated Registration Point and the Riverside Day Use Area for the picnic.
WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING?
