Chris and StevePeople to Know – Cris Eaton-Welsh  and Steve Welsh by Doc Eaton

Cris Eaton-Welsh  has lived in Kennesaw for the last 22 years, and as a homeowner and a small business owner in Kennesaw, she understands the concerns of balance as a resident and entrepreneur. Cris, her husband Steve and daughters Isabelle and Shelby, currently reside in Legacy Park. She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a BBA in Accounting and then enrolled at Life University where she earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic care. Following graduation, Cris joined her Father’s Chiropractic business in downtown Kennesaw – Eaton Chiropractic, and recently acquired the family business following her Father’s retirement.

“Give back to the community in which you live and serve” has been the cornerstone of Eaton Chiropractic. Cris continues this philosophy and has been involved with the fundraising efforts for Swift Cantrell Park as well as coordinating various events within the city. Service to the community has always been a family affair, her husband Steve continues his efforts in championing a skate park to be located in Kennesaw’s Swift Cantrell Park.

Recently, Cris trained and completed the 2009 Disney Marathon and continues actively running in the Kennesaw area, specifically at Swift Cantrell Park.  She has her sights on the Marine Corps Marathon in DC in November. Cris and her husband are avid motorcyle riders and supporters of both the Atlanta Hawks and Thrashers.

As the newest member of the Kennesaw City Council, Dr. Cris has vowed to base her service the the citizens by listening and promising to respond to the questions and needs of the community.  She is focusing on three main issues: Human Values, Property Values and Personal Values. Human Values, encourage people to get involved who are not currently involved. Property Values, revitalization and redevelopment of our older neighborhoods and downtown and Personal Values, a genuine respect for all the members in our community.

They say if you want a job done and done well, give it to a busy person with a heart.  That perfectly wraps up this person to know in Kennesaw.

Steve Welsh has been around Kennesaw, Marietta and Roswell all his life.  He is a Graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design and now works as a Video Producer and Project Manager for Phillips Arena.  If you’ve ever been to a Thrashers or Hawks or Dream game, you’ve seen his work on the big videotron that hangs in the center of the Arena.

He is a man of many talents and a loving father to his adoring daughters.  He is an avid sports fan, so he’s one to have on your team when it comes to sports trivia.  He loves his “Fat Boy” and rides whenever the oportunity presents itself.

He met Cris while she was attending Life University and he was working there.  He was the personal viedographer for Dr. Sid Williams during his presidency at Life.  As a video producer, his work has been sought after by the Braves as well as the other teams he currently works for.  This young man is an avid Hockey fan and there’s not much in the way of memorabilia that he doesn’t collect.  Ask him about his four Wayne Gretsky jersey’s.

This young couple complement each other very well and are definitely known and in the know in Kennesaw.
